Surfing Santas

December 24, 2024 - The VFW opened to the public for the day. Breakfast sandwiched were made available starting at 0700 to the crowds there for Surfing Mingle and Surfing Santas

Charity Golf 

December 7, 2024 - The VFW organized a charity golf tournament - The Preamble Scramble - to benefit the Space Coast Honor Flight (SCHF). The tourny was held at the Cocoa Beach Country Club and included prizes, raffles and a buffet and more importantly; a great time and monetary donation to SCHF.

JULY 4th 2024

Independance Day was celebrated with an all-American cookout and potluck buffet. 

Veterans' Day 2024

Nov 11, 2024 - Our Veteran's Day ceremony was announced in several City news items resulting in a great crowd. The Cocoa HS JROTC provided Color Guard services and special guests - Marine veterans of the Battle of Fallujah - provided the guest speaker. Included in the ceremony was a special presentation by Commander Dean to Dennis Fontecchio, and family, in remembrance of his son KIA in Fallujah.

Memorial Day 2024

MGen Gregg Martin was the guest speaker at a well-attended Memorial Day Celebration held at the Post 5/28/2024. Over 40 people crowded onto the outside deck to hear the program presented. The event was concluded with a Post sponsored cookout and potluck luncheon.

20th Anniversary Reunion 2nd Battle of Fallujah

First Battalion Third Marines - Lava Dogs- gathered in Cocoa Beach over Veterans' Day weekend. The Post was honored to provide support and participate in this event. Kickoff was Friday night at the Post followed Saturday by golf and Dennis' famous Porketta dinner back at the Post. On Sunday Post members were included in the USMC Birthday luncheon. A full Veteran' Day ceremony was held on Monday followed by lunch at Jonathons.

The Auxiliary provided much needed financial support to procure necessary items such as meals and personal items to homeless veterans in the greater Cocoa Beach area.
